Music From The Other Side

Published by Linda under Healing Music

It’s so interesting, how life (and in some cases death) can propel us in a new direction.

This week, on my radio program WINDOWS TO WELLNESS, I’m airing an interview with Marcey Hamm who talks about her beautiful etheric music for healing. Marcey’s near death experience was the catalyst in moving her from a career as a nuclear engineer to a highly acclaimed musician.

Inward Harmony (her first CD pictured above) was created in her state of the art studio. After 8 hours (of visiting another dimension), Marcey had recorded this incredible music on her computer. This program is 45 minutes of heart and soul. I hope you can Tune In.

Finding My Bliss

A couple of years ago, I attended an exciting experiential workshop, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind (see photo) with T. HARV EKERD. I was seated in the front row and needed a partner. The woman behind me volunteered. So I wouldn’t have to lean backwards for the next 20 minutes during our discussion, I stood up, turned my chair around, and BOOM, there I was, standing and facing hundreds of people. They were all busy doing their experiential thing. And this feeling of “YOUR HOME” came over me. I could feel the tingling sensation in my fingertips. I was indeed home!

Being in front of people has never been a challenge for me. It’s what I’m naturally meant to do. It was one of those AH-Ha moments when time stood still.

Celebrate2_1 What makes your skin tingle just thinking about it? What makes YOU feel alive?

These are the keys to figuring out the puzzle of YOUR life.

Think BIG. Where do you want to be 5 years from now?

In your mind’s eye, STEP INTO THAT ROLE, and then, from that position, look back at yourself to see what you used to be like.

It is an empowering experience, and one I encourage you to do, VERY VERY SOON, so that you can start on your own true mission.

My role as a teacher/trainer is to help YOU discover your path. I’m just there as the conduit or channel of energy, to offer suggestions and help you through the process.

Becoming Jean Houston

Published by Linda under Finding Your Purpose

I’ll never forget an experiential workshop I attended with Jean Houston several years ago. We were invited (as participants in the audience) to “act out” what it was, that we would be doing with our lives 5 years into the future. Everyone around me started mimicking the movements of designing something, creating, typing, etc. But me? I wanted to be up on stage doing what Jean Houston was doing? She stood there (in front of hundreds of us) and challenged us to “step into the role”. It was “now or never”. I was frozen! How could I go down there, and stand in front of all those people, and act like I was inspiring all of those people? I moved toward the stage with trepidation. While she was taking a break, I stood up in front of all those people (who were totally ignoring me and doing their own thing), and started to act like I was speaking as the motivational, inspiring, powerhouse that I was destined to become. What an experience! Some people looked at me, and I knew that they KNEW that I was doing my thing. Some looked away, still trying to figure out what they were supposed to be doing. I’ll never forget that experience and how empowered I felt, just going for it.

Relocating Luv Bugs

Published by Linda under Communing With Nature

Last week, my friend David Gumina painted my front porch. In preparing the concrete for sanding, he noticed a swarm of bugs on a rock next to the area where he would be painting. These weren’t just any bugs. They were luv bugs (the kind who stick together even when then fly). Florida is known for millions of them sticking to your windshield. Yet, here they were, on a rock, beside my front porch. After awhile, they relocated to the corner of my window. I have to ask myself the question: why MY house? why MY window? Mind you, these are harmless little creatures. Delicate little things that mean no harm and have their own agenda: Survival. We didn’t want to kill them, or have any of them end up in the paint. So, I went outside, stepped off the porch and talked to 50-75 of them (who were all bunched together and, I’m sure, surprised by my visit).

Outloud, in front of my friend David, I said: “I have the utmost respect for you guys, but would you please move on to another location? We’re painting here and I don’t want any of you to get hurt.” I came back inside and David said that most of them had moved on, except for a few who were still buzzing around his head. He finished the painting without a single luv bug being damaged.

I have to ask another question: If we are all indeed connected (as I firmly believe) and share the same ONENESS, then could it be that those tiny creatures understood my INTENTION: not to hurt them; respecting them; and asking for their cooperation in relocating from my window? I believe so.

In the book, Behaving as if the God in All Things Mattered, Michaelle Small Wright has a similar experience when she asks the moles on her property to relocate to another part of her farm in a grassy area. Her entire book is incredible and discusses forming a pact with nature. She stated her request to the moles with respect, and later that same afternoon, hundreds of moles moved in unison across her land to their new home. Nature pays attention, especially when we display respect and loving intent.

So, the next time you see a single luv bug, or a swarm of them, ask outloud: are you hear because I am loving? or are you here to remind me to love? And then don’t be suprised if you get the answer.
